John Whelan, world renowned recording artist and producer of traditional Irish music, will be in concert at the Buffalo Irish Center, 245 Abbott Rd. Buffalo, NY 14220, on Friday, November 30th at 8pm. Dancing space will be available for those who wish to kick up their heels to some of the best traditional music out there.
John will be joined by the accomplished young fiddle player, Genevieve Gillespie, who created the band Burning Bridget Cleary at 15-years of age, and where she is now lead fiddler and vocalist. Her band’s second album, Everything is Alright, won Celtic Music Radio’s Album of the Year.
John invited Genevieve along on this tour to provide audiences with an inspiring glimpse of what lies ahead for the traditional Irish/Celtic music world. Their dynamic chemistry is apparent as you get swept away to another place and time. John and Genevieve show how seamlessly the generations are bridging the gap.
Get ready to dance your cares away, or just sit back and enjoy this lively performance! Admission is $20 at the door. Pre-sale tickets will be available starting Sunday, October 21 for only $15 at the Tara Gift Shoppe and Dog Ears Bookstore located at 688 Abbott Road, Buffalo.
